The Lockerbie Tragedy – Flight 103

In 1988 many horrific events occurred but our focus in this article will be on just one of these – a Pan American airlines flight en route from London to New York suddenly broke up in the air at just after 7pm on December 21st while at an altitude of 31,000 feet above Western Scotland. While the vast majority of you may not remember the actual event, one tends to believe that the second the name ‘Lockerbie’ is thrown into the mix the severity and heinous nature of the event may jog a few memories.

Mein Kampf

Adolf Hitler PortraitAdolf Hitler was a ‘special’ guy to say the least, and what we have on offer here is the book he wrote while in prison (long before he came to power). I doubt many of you have actually read it – and neither have I – but i’m hoping to find the time to do so in the near future in an attempt to understand more closely what drove him to commit the acts he did.

One Simple Word… Genocide

Genocide might be a simple word to remember, but the act of genocide is a despicable abhorrent behaviour, that unfortunately, exists and continues to exist the world over. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term, genocide is the act of systematically killing or exterminating a group of people because they belong to a particular national, political, racial or cultural group.
